Account Manager and New Business Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our sales team to add a highly motivated sales person who is able to demonstrate a successful and profitable track record working in the print industry.
The person appointed will be someone with excellent communication skills and business acumen that can build long term relationships with prospective clients.
The Business Development part of the role is to identify new business opportunities, new clients and build new relationships and negotiate new deals. As a company we have exciting plans to move the company forwards and increase our turnover and we want you to be part of our expert team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop accounts by communicating with clients in person, by phone and by email
- To sell to existing clients additional services we offer which they don’t currently purchase
- Identify and develop new opportunities within the market sectors
- Generate own sales leads through various methods such as, networking, prospecting and events
- Conduct outbound prospecting in order to establish new relationships to educate potential clients on products and services
- Own and resolve general sales enquiries pertaining to leads, prospects and accounts
- Organise, track and maintain client account and contact information, as well as prospect updates in the CRM database
- Accountable for the performance and delivery of meeting/exceeding targets, management of business pipeline to achieve/exceed business objectives
- Strong relationship management skills and ability to build networks of internal and external contacts
- Experience of effective sales management techniques and practices
Qualities we are looking for:
- Demonstrable track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
- Field sales experience essential, ideally in the print industry
- Excellent Microsoft office skills including, Excel, Word and CRM systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commercial business awareness, with the ability to clearly identify potential profitable opportunities
- Strong organisational skills
- Knowledge of print production practices and processes
- Reliable, trustworthy and conscientious team member
- Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised within a dynamic environment as well as part of our larger team

Apprentice Print Finisher: Full Time Permanent
This is a great opportunity for an apprentice to develop a broad understanding of print finishing in our production department. Working across all equipment, the apprentice will be involved in finishing jobs, learning a variety of skills and techniques using our folding, stitching (booklet making), foiling and cutting equipment.
Duties will include
- Print Finishing Technicians use precision Cutting, Binding, Foiling, Laminating and Packing equipment to complete the final product for the client
- Set up or operate machines that perform binding operations, such as pressing, folding, or trimming.
- Inspect printed materials or other images to verify quality
- Read works instructions to determine instructions and specifications for machine set-up
- Adjust bindery machines, such as knives, guides or clamps, to accommodate sheets, signatures, or books of specified sizes
- Trim edges of printed sheets to size, using cutting machines, book trimming machines, or hand cutters
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or to determine whether adjustments are needed
- Maintain records, such as daily production records. Record operational or production data. Using MIS (Management Information System)
- Lubricate, clean, or make minor repairs to machine parts to keep machines in working condition
- Repair production equipment or tools
- Prepare finished products for shipping
- There will be also opportunities to develop other print and finishing skills in our Large Format and Mailing Departments

Salary: At least £300 per week with staggered increases as training is completed.
