Dove House Hospice is a charity providing specialist care to adults in Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire with progressive life-limiting illnesses. Offering three main types of care including, pain and symptom management, respite care and end of life care, as well as offering support to the families of their patients.

Platinum has worked closely with Dove House over the years, most recently with the print and distribution of their Winter and Summer Raffles.

The Challenge

An important challenge for all charities is ensuring that their income is used effectively and that they gain as much value as possible out of their marketing campaigns. Dove House Hospice was looking for the most efficient, cost-effective way to mail out their raffle tickets to their mailing list, while saving time and money.

Having previously gone down the traditional route of a separate raffle book to be filled in by the recipient, the team at Dove House found the whole process very time consuming for both the recipient and for their team managing the process. Dove House wanted to cut down on waste and provide a fully personalised booklet containing pre-printed raffle tickets to those on their mailing list, in the hope that they would be posted back with minimal input from the recipient.

The Solution

Being able to offer a full-service solution, Platinum was capable of printing, collating and mailing all Dove House Hospice’s raffle books as one piece with all the information of the recipient pre-printed and personalised throughout the booklets.

The personalised booklet is enclosed into an eye-catching printed envelope and with our investment in camera matching for booklet making and enclosing, the team can be assured that each booklet with personalised information reaches the intended recipient.

With perforated tickets, it was easy for the recipient to remove the tickets that they wanted to buy, or sell, and send the stubs back to Dove House Hospice for entry into the raffle.
