What is your role at Platinum and what does your day-to-day look like?
I work in the Direct Mail department, my day to day is a combination of data/artwork pre-production, actual production and adhoc within the range of Mailing.
How long have you been working in this industry, and what drew you to it?
I have been in the industry for 15 years in total. 8 Years at Platinum, and further 7 years working in a much smaller print/mail department, for the Milk Board.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Problem solving data, I’ve spent far to long staring at data trying to figure out how to best format it into something useable.
What skills or qualities do you think are essential for success in your role?
To succeed in the role, you need a keen eye for detail, and plenty of patience.
What’s your favourite way to spend your free time?
Playing boardgames, I’ve spent whole weekends playing them, with friends and strangers. 😊
What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
In certain circles my Brownies are world famous!
Do you have a favourite travel destination or a dream place you’d like to visit?
New Zealand, who wouldn’t want to visit Middle Earth and The Shire?
What’s a book, movie, or TV show you’ve recently enjoyed?
My favourite TV show is Andor, it’s about the political side of the Star Wars universe.
