In 2023, Platinum marked a significant milestone by celebrating its 35th birthday. The journey spanning over 35 years has seen our small startup evolve into a printing powerhouse, leaving an indelible mark on an ever-evolving industry.
Katherine, one of Platinum’s estimators, brought further glory as she was awarded the prestigious Victor Watson Trophy. This honour recognises the outstanding accomplishments of young individuals in Yorkshire’s print, digital, and creative industries, underscoring Platinum’s commitment to nurturing talent.
Client Satisfaction at its Pinnacle
A major highlight of the year was the announcement that 100% of Platinum’s clients expressed satisfaction with the company’s services. From on-time project deliveries to easy accessibility, clients unanimously acknowledged the excellence Platinum consistently delivers. Additionally, an impressive 96% of respondents praised Platinum for offering excellent value for money and commended the sales team for their exceptional product knowledge.
A Greener Future
Platinum proudly continued its partnership with the World Land Trust as a Carbon Balanced Printer, reaffirming its dedication to environmental responsibility. By offsetting carbon emissions and supporting habitat conservation, Platinum actively contributed to a greener future. Notably, the company’s carbon offset initiatives surpassed expectations in the third quarter, successfully offsetting nearly 10 tonnes of paper usage.
An investment in solar panels further solidified Platinum’s commitment to renewable energy. Installed at Platinum HQ, these solar panels not only align with environmental goals but also contribute to a sustainable future, harnessing the power of the sun.
Green Fleet Expansion
Adding three more electric vehicles to its Green Fleet was a noteworthy move by Platinum in 2023. This decision reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and the reduction of its carbon footprint. The fleet now includes Sam’s new Tesla Model Y, Ben’s all-electric CUPRA Born and Anthony’s Kia EV6, embodying Platinum’s dedication to a cleaner mode of transportation.
