Reflecting on a Big Step Forward at Platinum

As a carbon-balanced printer, sustainability and quality have always been at the heart of what we do. Earlier this year, we made some major investments in new equipment, changes that are already making a huge difference to our efficiency, our clients, and our environmental goals.

Why We Invested

The world of print never stands still, and neither can we. To keep moving forward, we knew we needed to invest in the very best equipment, not just to enhance our output, but also to stay true to our values around sustainability and innovation.

The New Arrivals

One of the highlights of this spring was watching the new machines arrive on-site. Each one felt like a milestone:

• Autobond Laminator – This upgrade has transformed our finishing speeds, removing a long-standing bottleneck in production.
• Polar115 High-Speed Precision Guillotine – A big step up from our 20-year-old Polar N 92, this machine runs significantly faster and allows us to set up automatic cutting programs, giving us both speed and precision.
• Ricoh C9500 Digital Printer – A fantastic addition to our direct mail department. It has helped us cut costs while joining our existing C9200 to boost capacity for mailing work.
• ATS MSX 420 Bander – Small but mighty, this compact banding machine has had a surprisingly big impact on the efficiency of our packaging

Looking Back and Ahead

Reflecting on the changes that we made in April, we see more than just new equipment. We see our ongoing commitment to innovation, to our clients, and to the planet. For us, these investments mark a real milestone, one that sets us up for an even stronger, more sustainable future. With more investments already in the pipeline, this is only the beginning of what’s to come.
